We provide plastic injection machining services to various industries around the world. These are Candela distance gauges that we manufacture through injection molding, available in 18mm and 12mm. The size can be customized according to your needs.
Plastic injection processing, also known as injection molding, is a manufacturing process that produces identical parts by injecting molten plastic into a mold. It is a widely used production method for plastic parts in various industries including automobiles, home appliances, and medical devices. The process involves the following steps:
- Molten plastic: The plastic raw material, usually in the form of tiny pellets, is fed into the injection molding machine and delivered to the mold through the injection device. As the screw conveys the plastic pellets through the heated area of the barrel, the plastic material heats up due to temperature and compression.
- Injection: Molten plastic is injected under pressure into a mold, where it cools and solidifies into the final part. Injection molding can produce high volumes of parts at lower part prices and faster than other processes such as CNC machining and 3D printing.
- Cooling and solidification: The liquid plastic is cooled and solidified in the mold to form the final product.
- Ejection and separation: The mold is opened and the injected plastic parts are ejected from the mold.
Plastic Injection machining offers several advantages, such as fast production speed, cost-effectiveness, the ability to produce high volumes of parts with tight tolerances, and excellent repeatability. However, the initial cost of mold design is higher. And process parameters need to be strictly controlled to maintain the quality of the final part. Therefore, if you need small batch custom processing, we recommend using CNC machining.
