What Is the Processing Process of Anodized 7075 Aluminum Alloy CNC Turning Parts?

First, we need to select the appropriate 7075 aluminum alloy material. We need to inspect the aluminum alloy material, including the chemical composition analysis of the material, to ensure that the content of alloying elements meets the standard requirements of 7075 aluminum alloy. We need to perform CNC programming according to the drawing requirements of the part. When programming, we need to consider factors such as the shape, dimensional accuracy, and surface roughness of the part. For the selection of cutting tools, carbide cutting tools are generally used due to the high hardness of 7075 aluminum alloy.
During the turning process, we need to control the cutting parameters. The cutting speed is generally determined by the tool material and the workpiece material. For 7075 aluminum alloy, the cutting speed can be appropriately selected at a higher value, but excessive cutting heat should be avoided. The feed rate and cutting depth should be adjusted according to the precision requirements of the part.
There will be oil stains on the surface of the parts after turning, and degreasing treatment is required. Common degreasing methods include chemical degreasing and organic solvent degreasing. Chemical degreasing is to remove the oil stains by using an alkaline solution to react with the oil stains to saponify.
Anodizing is generally carried out in a sulfuric acid solution. First, the oxidation tank liquid should be prepared. The sulfuric acid concentration is generally around 15% – 20%. At the same time, the temperature of the oxidation tank should be controlled, usually between 18 – 22℃. Too high or too low temperature will affect the quality of the oxide film.
The pretreated parts are used as anodes, lead plates, etc. are used as cathodes, and electricity is turned on in the oxidation tank for anodizing.
After anodizing, the parts need to be cleaned to remove the sulfuric acid solution remaining on the surface. Then the sealing treatment can be carried out. Common sealing methods include hot water sealing, nickel salt sealing and chromate sealing.
Carry out comprehensive quality inspection on the processed parts.
The parts that pass the quality inspection are packaged according to the characteristics of the parts and customer requirements.
