    Description

An alloy is a substance that is formed by combining two or more metals or a metal and a non-metal. The components of alloys are usually metals, but carbon, a non-metal, is an essential constituent of steel. Alloys can be produced by melting the mixture of ingredients. Today, the most important alloys are the alloy steels, which are steels containing significant amounts of elements other than iron and carbon. The principal alloying elements for steel are chromium, nickel, manganese, molybdenum, silicon, tungsten, vanadium, and boron. Alloy steels have a wide range of special properties, such as hardness, toughness, corrosion resistance, magnetizability, and ductility. Nonferrous alloys, mainly copper–nickel, bronze, and aluminum alloys, are much used in coinage. The distinction between an alloying metal and an impurity is sometimes subtle; in aluminum, for example, silicon may be considered an impurity or a valuable component, depending on the application, because silicon adds strength though it reduces corrosion resistance. Alloys are made by mixing two or more elements, at least one of which is a metal. An alloy is technically an impure metal, but when referring to alloys, the term impurities usually denotes undesirable elements. Such impurities are introduced from the base metals and alloying elements but are removed during processing. For instance, sulfur is a common impurity in steel. Sulfur combines readily with iron to form iron sulfide, which is very brittle, creating weak spots in the steel. Alloying elements are added to impart certain properties to metals or to strengthen some of their existing properties.

    Alloy CNC Turning Skills

Alloy CNC turning is a processing technology that uses CNC lathes to shape and cut alloy materials. Alloy CNC Turning The following are some key points of alloy CNC turning:

    1. CNC turning is a common machining process used when working with forged or rolled bars as the starting feedstock.
    2. The optimal parameters for CNC turning process on alloy materials can be identified through experimental investigation.
    3. CNC machining produces parts with excellent mechanical properties, accuracy, and repeatability from metal and plastic, including alloy steel.

We are an excellent custom made parts manufacturer that provides high-quality alloy CNC machining services.
